In the coming weeks, we will be presenting this L 456 Ruby Red 1967 Volkswagen Beetle for sale. This is a matching numbers car with the body, pan, and motor matching correctly with each other. This car has almost all of the details that make a 67 so special. Not all but most. :) Per the Vin# this is an early 67 with speedo and gas gauge dated 12/66 and the car being produced on January 24, 1967. The motor H 060 3301 falls in the same production date.

Starting out the car received an exceptional Ruby Red paint job on the inside and out. The trunk are was left with original paint preserving the quality control chalk marks still present on the metal. The car is so shiny and really looks amazing. The pans are original with the rear battery section being replaced. The car has no rust and all German metal. No patch panels, it’s only factory welds throughout the car. Pans have been sealed on the inside and out.

The interior was replaced using the correct 67 vinyl seat style, a multi piece headliner, and factory correct rubber mat. All of the window rubbers and seals have been replaced using Wolfsburg West parts. Original Sapphire IV radio with black safety knobs (67 only). The radio lights up but I haven’t been able to get sound from it.

The H code 1500 has had the top end replaced with Mahle pistons, reconditioned heads, the factory correct carb was built by VolksBiz, correct distributor rebuilt, as well as the one year generator. All motor tins and correct pieces are present on the motor with the exception of the thermostat set up. Motor runs super smooth and the car shifts through all gears. Original transmission with new fluid, both front/rear mount and boots replaced. Front tie rod ends and ball joints replaced. New German master cylinder brake drums (Italian), shoes and wheel cylinders. Stops very nicely.

The car is located in Atlanta, Ga and has a Georgia Title — ready to be transferred. We have pretty much anything that was taken off the car that was original and not used for whatever reason.
